Zapier + WhatsApp

The WhatsPilot-Zapier integration unlocks 5000+ app connections without writing a single line of code. Zapier acts as a bridge between WhatsPilot and thousands of business tools — CRMs, email platforms, project management apps, form builders, payment gateways, and more. Every time an event happens in one app, Zapier triggers an action in WhatsPilot or vice versa. For example, when a new lead fills out a Google Form, Zapier can automatically add them to a WhatsPilot contact list and send a welcome message. When a payment is confirmed in Stripe, Zapier can trigger a WhatsApp receipt. The integration supports both triggers (WhatsPilot events that start a Zap) and actions (WhatsPilot actions like send message, add contact, or create broadcast). This flexibility means you can build custom workflows tailored to your exact business processes. No developer needed — just connect, configure, and automate.

Setup Guide

Set Up the Zapier Integration in 5 Steps

Follow this guide to connect Zapier with WhatsPilot. No coding required.

1

Create a Zapier Account

If you do not already have one, sign up at zapier.com. Choose a plan that fits your monthly task volume — the free plan includes 100 tasks per month, enough to test and run basic automations.

2

Connect WhatsPilot to Zapier

In your Zapier dashboard, click 'Create Zap' and search for 'WhatsPilot' as the trigger or action app. If this is your first time, you will be asked to connect your WhatsPilot account. Log in and authorize the connection. Your API key is handled securely by Zapier.

3

Choose Your Trigger or Action

Select a trigger (WhatsPilot event that starts the workflow) or action (What happens in another app when a WhatsPilot event occurs). Common triggers include 'New Contact Added' or 'Message Received'. Common actions include 'Send Message' or 'Add Contact'. Set up the required fields for each step.

4

Map Data Between Apps

Use Zapier's drag-and-drop field mapper to pass data between apps. For instance, map the 'Name' field from a Google Sheet column to the {{contact_name}} variable in your WhatsApp message template. Test the Zap to verify data flows correctly.

5

Test and Activate Your Zap

Run a test to confirm the automation works end-to-end. Zapier will show you a detailed log of each step. If everything looks correct, turn the Zap on. Monitor usage from the Zapier dashboard to stay within your task limits.
